  • No. You are welcome to use outside catering. However, if you choose not to use Andres’ (our preferred caterer), additional vendor rules apply to ensure quality service, smooth timing, and a great guest experience.

  • Yes. If you choose not to use Andres’ catering, day-of event insurance is required. We’ll provide the exact insurance requirements and details during planning so it’s simple and stress-free.

We require day-of event insurance for outside catering to protect both the couple and the venue and to ensure a smooth, professional experience. This policy includes general liability as well as liquor liability coverage. We’ll make it simple—we provide couples with a direct link to the correct day-of insurance policy during the planning process.

  • Absolutely 🤍 While there is never any pressure to make a decision on the spot, many couples choose to reserve their date during their visit if they feel that Berkshire Ridge is “the one.” We’re always happy to answer questions, walk through details, and give you the space to decide what feels right.

  • To officially reserve your date at Berkshire Ridge, a signed agreement and payment are required.

Most couples secure their booking with a 50% payment, with the remaining balance due 30 days prior to the wedding.

We also offer a flexible payment plan beginning with a $1,000 retainer, with remaining payments arranged to comfortably fit your budget. All balances are completed 30 days before your event.

✨ Couples may pay off their balance at any time
✨ No interest is ever charged on payments

Payments accepted: cash, check, or money order.

  • All retainers and payments made toward your event are non-refundable, as reserving your date removes it from our calendar and limits our ability to accommodate other bookings. In the event of cancellation, the remaining balance for the contracted date remains due.

Date changes are considered only for verified military obligations or death in the family.

For added peace of mind, many couples choose wedding/event insurance when planning their celebration.

  • While Berkshire Ridge offers day-of event insurance through our partner (Philadelphia Insurance) for coverage during your wedding day, this policy does not cover cancellations or rescheduling due to unforeseen circumstances.

For wedding cancellation or wedding postponement insurance, couples typically purchase a separate policy through third-party providers. These policies can help reimburse you for non-refundable deposits, vendor payments, and other financial losses if you must cancel or postpone your wedding for a covered reason.

Common Places Couples Get Wedding Cancellation Insurance:

Special event insurance companies (e.g., Wedding Policy, WedSafe, Travelers)
Insurance marketplaces that offer event coverage
Your homeowner’s or renter’s insurance agent (sometimes offers a rider)
Venue-endorsed providers recommended by your planner

We do not provide cancellation insurance ourselves, but we always recommend couples consider it when booking to protect their investment in the event of unexpected life changes.
